In September 2013 The Kinross Curling Trust took over the running of our Curling Rink. This was a major step in being able to secure the future of the Rink, with investment urgently needed to keep the Rink operational. Currently undergoing a major refurbishment over the Summer, the Rink will be open again in time for the season, which runs from September to April each year, 7 days a week.
The Curling Rink was built in 1977 with the primary purpose of providing some winter activities on the Resort during low season for golf and the close season for fishing. It is widely used by local curling clubs.
The 4 sheet (lane) facility allows up to eight teams of 4 players to be on the ice at any one time. Each session / game lasts about 2 hours and the following timings are generally used throughout the season:
|Session||Monday - Friday||Saturday & Sunday|
|Per Person||Per Sheet (8)||Per Person||Per Sheet (8)|

Even if you don't actually feel like taking to the ice yourself but fancy seeing what one of Scotland's national games is all about, You can look out over the games below from the viewing gallery of the Curling Bar.
The bar itself, now ran by the Kinross Curling Trust, is fully licenced but also serves a wide range of hot & cold beverages and snacks. So, while cupping your hands around a mug of steaming hot chocolate or nursing a glass of something stronger, you will be ideally placed to appreciate the good shot or poor scorn on a miss-placed one - just like spectators of any sport!
